Jason Zadrozny attended a special public meeting with the Safer Neighbourhoods Committee earlier this week with Inspector Andy Clarke of Nottinghamshire Police.
Jason told 'top cops' the people of Ashfield and Eastwood want more "bobbies" back on the beat to help make our streets safer, rather than cooped up in an office.
Jason is also campaigning to free police from their desks telling those present at the meeting that "police are bound to their office with red tape and bureaucracy and should be free to do the job they are paid to do. The police should be making our communities safer by providing a high visibility presence on our streets".
Jason also said he expects high standards from the police force and welcomes the new 'Policing Pledges' to make Ashfield and Eastwood a safer place to live.
