Liberal Democrats have won five of the eight county council seats in our constituency. The Lib Dems won:
Eastwood, Kirkby South, Sutton North, Sutton West and Sutton Central.
Jason Zadrozny and the Liberal Democrats are now the clear challengers to Labour at the next General Election in Ashfield and Eastwood.

Liberal Democrats are today celebrating victory in last night's Eastwood South Borough Council by-election. Liberal Democrat Keith Longdon took the seat on Broxtowe Borough Council with a huge swing from Labour. Lib Dem Lorraine Perro also gained a seat from Labour on Eastwood Town Council.

More than 100,000 innocent people have been added to the National DNA Database since the European Court of Human Rights ruled in December 2008 that the practice was illegal, research by the Liberal Democrats has revealed. This is a similar figure to the 99,875 DNA records Nottinghamshire Police hold on local residents.

Jason Zadrozny took part in a debate on tax last week, on behalf of Grant Thornton chartered accountants. The debate took place at Nottingham City Hall in front of a number of businesses from across Nottinghamshire.

An estimated 50,000 people came together to demand action on climate change today at The Wave, the biggest ever UK climate change march. The Wave called for the Government to take much more urgent and effective action.
