Liberal Democrat Leadership come to Kirkby

As part of the recent leadership election, many senior Liberal Democrats came to Kirkby in Ashfield to meet and debate with local residents and party members.

Leadership candidates Chris Huhne MP and Simon Hughes MP, along with Nick Clegg MP, Paul Holmes MP for Chesterfield and Bill Newton-Dunn, your member of the European Parliament came along and addressed nearly 300 people at the Festival Hall.

The event was a huge success, and all of the candidates complemented the facilities & staff at the Festival Hall. Simon Hughes MP, Nick Clegg MP and Bill Newton Dunn MEP will all be coming back to the area this year, taking a real interest in Ashfield.
