Wasted space in Kirkby In Ashfield

10.20.43pm GMT Thu 9th Mar 2006

With literally hundreds of people living in the Rowan Drive area of Kirkby In Ashfield, we need all the local amenities we can get.

This is why it's such a shame that parts of the area are boarded up, dirty and unused. This land is precious, and there is no reason why it cannot be well kept.

We've written to Ashfield District council requesting that the area of land around Rowan Drive is tidied up as a priority. We'll also be talking to them about what can be done about boarded up shops and houses in the area.

Is your area littered? Do you have potholes or

broken street lighting?
