Liberal Democrat Becomes Mayor of Eastwood

Following further election sucesses in the Ashfield Parliamentary seat, Liberal Democrats took Eastwood Town Council from Labour - another first time Labour loss.

The Liberal Democrats have nine seats to Labours six.

The first ever Liberal Democrat Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Eastwood were signed into office on 15th May.

Jason Zadrozny said:

"All accross Ashfield people are turning to the Liberal Democrats as the only viable alternative to New Labour.

I know that Robert and Josie will do a fantastic job for the people of Eastwood and I am proud that they have achieved so much".
